Insurable Crop and Eligibility Requirements:

• Plum acreage must be irrigated and trees must have reached the 5th growing season
  
• Acreage must have produced in the past al least 200 lugs per acre of fresh packed fuit, unless pre-approved for coverage.
  

Insured Causes of Loss:

• Any adverse weather resulting in damage to the bloom, poor pollination, lack of production, or damage to the plums on the tree; such as cold we weather, frost, wind, hail, excessive heat or rain.
  
• Wildlife, birds or non-domesticated animals.
  
• Earthquake or fire.
  
• Insufficient chilling hours to break dormancy.
  
• Failure of the irrigation water supply source occurring after insurance attaches.
  

Uninsured against:

• Damage due to insects or disease not caused by weather.
  
• Fruit cullage caused by green, overripe, undersize conditions or mechanical damage.
  
• Inability to harvest, deliver, or market the plums for any reason except direct damage to the fruit.
  

Yield Production Guarantee - Tons

• Production guarantee is based on the past production of packed lugs or fresh fruit from the acreage to be insured.
  

Unit Guarantee:

• Actual insurance coverage is by unit not by acre

Insurance Period:

Insurance attaches on February 1.
Insurance ceases upon the earlier of harvest or September 30
