Insurable Crop and Eligibility Requirements:

• Irrigated rice which is seeded for harvest as grain grown of insurable acreage is which the applicant has a share of the crop.
  

Insured causes of Loss:

Unavoidable loss of production or damage resulting from:

• Any adverse weather conditions such as rain, wind, hail, frost, excessive heat, or cool temperatures.
  
• Insects or plant disease if proper control measures were carried out.
  
• Wildlife: Birds or non-domesticated animals.
  
• Earthquake, fire or volcanic eruption.
  
• Failure of irrigation water supply source occurring after planting.
  

Yield/Production Guarantee:

• Yield Guarantee is based on the grower's Actual Production History (APH) average yield for the grower.
  

Coverage Levels:

Late Planting and Prevented Planting:

• Acreage planted up to 25 days after the final planting date will be insured at a reduced guarantee.  The reduction is 1% per day for each day through 25 days.
  
• Acreage prevented from being planted due to insurable causes occurring between the sales closing date and the final plant date, and are general in the area preventing other growers with similar soil from planting, will be insured at 45% of the full guarantee, provided these acres are at least 20 acres or 20% of the acreage in a unit.
  

Replant Payment:

• A replant payment will be made for a poor stand due to insurable causes provided that the acreage to be replanted is at least 20 acres or 20% of the unit. 
  
• The appraised potential production is less than 90% of the guarantee per acre.
